The Club first played at Bettws Lane, Malpas, in 1909, when Malpas was an outskirt village of Newport. We bought the ground in the 1920's and friendly cricket was played until 1971 (with a break during the war, when the ground was used by an American medical unit).
1992 saw a new pavilon opened with 4 changing rooms. The Club currently runs 3 Teams on a Saturday and 2 Teams on a Sunday.
2005 saw the introduction of Youth Cricket at Malpas again and coaching is available from the the age of 7 with teams running in all youth age groups.
2007 saw the club achieve 'Club Mark' Accrediation for its investment in Youth Cricket. The club also installed an Artifical Wicket at the ground during 2007 from funding received from Sports Council of Wales.
